Acceptable Use Policy

1. Lawful Use Only

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

2. Prohibited Activities

You shall not use the Services to:

• Stalk, harass, or threaten any individual.
• Conduct unauthorized surveillance — including monitoring individuals without their knowledge or consent where consent is required by law.
• Doxx or publish private information about individuals without their consent.
• Facilitate discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
• Identify minors— you may not upload photos of individuals you know or reasonably believe to be under the age of 18 for the purpose of identification.
• Commit or facilitate fraud, identity theft, or any criminal activity.
• Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the Services or circumvent any technical measures we use to restrict access.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Services, search results, or reports without our prior written consent.
• Upload illegal content — including CSAM, content depicting violence against real persons, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, including through denial-of-service attacks, malware, or excessive automated requests.

3. Permitted Use Cases

The Services are designed for legitimate purposes, including but not limited to:

• Verifying your own digital footprint and online presence.
• Detecting catfishing, impersonation, or fraudulent use of your likeness.
• Parental safety and due diligence (for your own children).
• Investigative journalism conducted in the public interest and in compliance with ethical standards.
• Background verification where you have obtained the subject’s written consent.

4. Rate Limits & Fair Use

Each Subscription tier includes a daily search allowance. Automated scripts, bots, or programs that exceed your plan’s limits or otherwise abuse the Services are prohibited. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that display abnormal usage patterns.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@reverseface.com or use our contact page. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this AUP. Actions may include issuing a warning, temporarily or permanently suspending your account, removing content, and/or reporting the activity to law enforcement authorities.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
